Refund Policy

Last Updated:  10 August 2026

Smartbooks Education supplies downloadable digital educational resources.

This Refund Policy explains when refunds may be available and how to contact us if there is a problem with your purchase.

1. Digital Products

Smartbooks Education products are supplied digitally unless otherwise stated. No physical product is supplied.
Once payment has been successfully completed, digital resources may be made available for immediate download and/or through a download link.

2. Cancellation of Digital Downloads

Customers purchasing digital content normally have a 14-day cancellation period. However, where a customer expressly agrees to receive digital content immediately and acknowledges that beginning the download will result in the loss of their right to cancel, that cancellation right may end once supply of the digital content begins.

Where required, this consent and acknowledgement will be obtained before immediate access to the digital resource is provided.

3. Change of Mind

Where a digital resource has already been supplied following the required consent and acknowledgement described above, we are not normally able to provide a refund simply because the customer has changed their mind, purchased the resource in error or subsequently decides that they no longer require it.

We therefore recommend reviewing the product description carefully before completing a purchase.

Nothing in this Refund Policy affects your statutory rights.

4. Faulty, Incorrect or Misdescribed Resources

If a digital resource is faulty, corrupted, materially different from its description, or you have received the wrong resource, please contact us.

We will investigate the issue and, where appropriate, may provide a corrected or replacement resource, or another remedy available under applicable consumer law.

UK law provides specific remedies where paid digital content does not conform to the contract.

5. Duplicate Purchases

If you accidentally purchase the same Smartbooks Education resource more than once, please contact us as soon as possible.

Where we can verify a genuine duplicate purchase, we will review the circumstances and, where appropriate, arrange a refund for the duplicate transaction.

6. Problems Downloading a Resource

Difficulty downloading or accessing a resource does not necessarily mean that the resource is faulty.

If you experience a technical problem accessing your purchase, please contact us and we will provide reasonable assistance to help you obtain the resource you purchased.

7. Requesting a Refund or Reporting a Problem

If you believe you are entitled to a refund or there is a problem with a resource you have purchased, please contact us:

Please include your name, email address used for the purchase, details of the resource purchased and a brief explanation of the issue.

8. Statutory Rights

Nothing in this Refund Policy excludes, restricts or affects any statutory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
